Small white feathers floating passed my kitchen window had me peering into a Yew at the end of my garden in Silverdale and located this large female Sparrowhawk plucking goodness knows what in the heart of the tree.
My regular Blackcaps have now moved on and indeed the feeders are entertaining few birds at the minute….perhaps the nesting Magpie in the Yew has something to do with it!
