      Cuckoo two, possibly three males singing and seen quite well

      Stonechat one pair

      Red Grouse four males heard

      Linnet two pairs

      Tree Pipit one

      Kestrel one male

      Curlew two displaying

      Lesser Redpolls and Siskins heard overhead

      Willow Warblers 19 singing along this ‘transect’ (no doubt more to be heard on a still morning). Also heard from here a distant Pied Flycatcher (to the W) and a Mistle Thrush (also to the W).

      An additional five WW singing in Rigg Lane car park with two non-singers.
