Possible red kite has just drifted south following the A6 through Scotforth. I live about 100m east from the A6 so I only caught views from the side and rear but it looked like it had a forked tail and some brown/reddish plumage. It just drifted at about twice roof top height, rather than actively flapping, which might be expected of a buzzard. This is the second time this year that I have had a raptor using the same flight path.
