      Observations from Morecambe Stone Jetty (SD 425 628) on incoming tide
      NE1 later NE2, 0-1 Oktas, 5-7 degrees Celsius.

      Movements 0638-0938:

      Meadow Pipit 294 mostly NNW (cross-bay, from jetty on course for Grange area)
      Common Scoter 178 in NE, 85 out SW
      Pink-footed Goose 75 flew in NE to land on sea
      Teal 68 floating or flying in NE, in several parties
      Linnet 56 mostly NNW, also NNE
      Wigeon 49 floating or flying in, NE in three parties
      Black-headed Gull 28 in NE
      Goldfinch 17 NNW and NE
      Common Gull 10 in NE
      Sandwich Tern up to 6 at a time patrolling in and out
      Redpoll 5 NNW
      Whooper Swan 4 NE (adults)
      Red-throated Diver 3 in low NE
      Mallard 3 flew in NE
      Red-breasted Merganser 3 in NE
      Siskin 3 NE
      Swallow 3 N
      Gadwall 2 floated in NE
      Tree Pipit 2 (1 NE, 1 NNW- note sound file attached)
      Gannet 2 in NE then out SW
      Guillemot 2 flew in NE
      House Martin 1 N
      Osprey 1 in NE
      Common Sandpiper 1 NE

      In situ on or near jetty throughout;

      Eider 32
      Rock Pipit 2
      Pied Wagtail 2 (m & f)
      Little Egret 1
      Great Crested Grebe 1
