We have a male and female Blackcap coming to feeders in our Arnside garden. Also up to 5 Tree Sparrows and 3 Reed Bunts. Marsh Tit thin on the ground this winter compared to last. It’s our second winter up here, six feeders on the go plus ground feeding, garden birds are great but only had 2 siskin and no Brambling at all. Is this unusual?
Hi Dave
Where do you live in Arnside approx. Blackcaps are more frequent as winter visitors than summer breeders (1 pair) here.
Siskins tend to go through soon, occasional Redpoll too. Reed Buntings now regular.
