Some lovely birds on a lunchbreak cycle round Aldcliffe / Stodday / Lunecliffe today:
Canada Goose 306 (A5)
Wigeon 22 (A5)
Pink-footed Goose 9 (A5)
Greylag Goose 7 (A5)
Curlew 6 (A5)Lapwing 4400 on Ashton stretch of estuary SD455578 and a further 900 on the Aldcliffe stretch at SD455599
Golden Plover 520 at SD455599
Green Sandpiper 2 Stodday Marsh
Blackbird 18 (A18) also 16 in a canalside field at SD470599
Cetti’s Warbler 1 contact calling in canalside vegetation at SD470600
Bullfinch 2 in hedge by Wildfowlers Pools S (A4), 3 in plantation by west of sewage works (ASC3), further 2 in plantation just to east.
