2 great whites out at 6.30, 24 little egrets between 6.45 and 6.55.
Bittern booming from near Island Mere from 6.15 – 6.20, flight silhouette across mere at 6.35, more booms from SW side of Causeway far end from 7.00. Presumed same bird.
Also flock of goldeneye at far end of mere, and 4 pochard over.
Great crested and little grebes.
Marsh harrier, which cleared the last 10 egrets from the roost.
