I went up to Birk Bank Bog (BBB) at lunchtime today, and was rewarded with nice views of Keeled Skimmers. At least 2 adult males, and another I think was a teneral male (bit of blue on its otherwise yellowish body). Photos attached, maybe Steve G or some other KS expert can tell me if I’m right about the teneral male! Hopefully there were also some ladies about, but I didn’t notice them (they were ranging quite widely though some of the time).
Also out were some hyperactive Small Pearl-Bordered Fritillaries, good to see at least some flying around, given the awful weather we’ve had up to now!
