      Heysham North Harbour Wall – A 2-hour 40-minute sea-watch (7.55 – 10.35 am):

      Gannet – 7 flew in distantly 7.55-9.59 am, 10 flew out 9.05-10.25 am
      Fulmar – 4 flew out 8.10-9.33 am
      Kittiwake – 12 (11 adults, 1 1st S) flew in at 8.14 am, 1 1st S flew out at 8.20 am, 20 (18 adults, 2 1st S) flew in then U-turned and flew back out at 8.25 am
      Manx Shearwater 23 flew into the Bay distantly 8.35-8.58 am, 88 flew out of the Bay closer in 8.46-10.11 am
      Also: 5 Common Scoter, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Auk sp.

      Eric Morecambe Pools – from Crag Road (11.05 – 11.40 am)
      7 Spoonbill – on Eric Morecambe Pool South – all appeared to be sub-adults
      128 Avocet – 121 adults, 7 small young (2+2+2+1) – salt-marsh pools
      4 Eider – (2 males, 2 females) on bank of Eric Morecambe Pool North
      2 female Pochrad – Barrow Scout Fields
      38 Black-tailed Godwit – Barrow Scout Fields

        North Harbour Wall 26th May (yesterday), 7:20-9:40am

        Canada Goose – c70 north in three flocks (7, c20, c45)
        Common Scoter – 8 in, 10 out
        Gannet – 5 out (in ones and a two)
        Auk sp. – 2 out
        Red-throated Diver – 1 or 2 seemingly hanging around the harbour (circling), 3 in

        Swallow – One flew over our heads and onto the sea. Not sure whether this was intentional – v. windy.

        Oystercatcher – c800 on the sea wall
