Back on 13 June we were really surprised to see a tree sparrow in Happy Mount Park Orchard. I have given up specifically looking for it again, but today there it was sitting on top of the hedge. It flew off in the direction of Chestnut Drive, if anyone lives in that area can keep an eye open.
Today in the park was dead at first, but the orchard and woodland walk changed that with 3 goldcrests, 7 blackbirds, 1 bullfinch female, 1 treecreeper and a wren. Still very few woodpigeons. The park mallardshave also gone in the weekend storms.
