An early morning walk before the tourists arrive. It is like Blackpool around here especially at weekends best avoided!

Despite a cool cloudy start a respectable 33 species were recorded with many in full song.

      Highlights included:

      Song Thrush 10 singing
      Mistle Thrush 2 pairs
      Dipper 2
      Treecreeper 3 singing
      GSW 2, 1 drumming
Tawny Owl mobbed adjacent to cycle path
Very few waterbirds around probably due to high recent river levels.
      Oystercatcher 4 Halton weir

      Cheers
      Steve
