A walk along the canal from Glasson Dock to Thurnham Mill in ‘four seasons in one hour’ weather produced:

8 Tree Sparrow in the garden next to Glasson Church
1 Barn Owl on a post just east of Glasson Marina
2 Whimbrel in a field south of the canal opposite Conder Pool
c.100 Black-tailed Godwit, 14 Tufted Duck and 2 Shoveler at Conder Pool
2 Sand Martin over Conder Creek

9 Avocet, c.100 Black-tailed Godwit and 2 Shoveler at Conder Pool
1 Greenshank at Conder Creek
