While trying to find some whimbrels to show my mum (we already tried Whombrelden Common aka Little Fell Lane) this afternoon, I heard a Garden Warbler singing and alarm-calling in a little plantation just off Langthwaite Road, up Shippon Hill. Might be interesting to see if it’s hanging around or if it was just passing through.
