      Tuesday 6/8/24 8-9pm

      Freeman’s Pools:
2 canada and 1 juv canada
      Few Mallards
      1 moorhen

      Frog pond:
(Grass long so probs more geese than I could count)
C50 greylags, including one with numbered orange tag
1 greylag/white front hybrid? (Pale eyes)
      25 canada geese
Swallows and house martins above, small group
      3+ crows
      2+ wood pigeons

      Wildfowlers pools:
Interrsting duck. (Initially thought pacific black duck/mallard hybrid, now wonder whether it is a garganey?) female with at least 3 large chicks, black bill and eye stripe and black ‘smile’ visible
      1 Little grebe
      1 grey heron
      20+ mallards
      1 greylag
5 egrets flew overhead towards estuary
      2 moorhens
3 curlew feeding, 2 curlew then flew from field nearby towards estuary

Greylag and canada geese had dispersed by the time I returned to frog pond area, a few pairs and small groups still present but most had flown in small groups to the river.
