      This morning, after passing The Flood and Wildfowlers with little of interest seen, Darter Pool had a group of Teal and a female Tufted Duck, with 8 or so Curlew around Frog Pool. Freemans Pool had a large grey bird rise, and circle upwards, and which proved to be a male Hen Harrier – which certainly added excitement to the walk!

        I’m well jeal about the HH. Never had one at Aldcliffe in 20+ years of birding it. Was it early doors?
