      Today,Sunday 16th April 5 – 6pm

      Freeman’s pond:
      1 M Blackcap (near gate)
      1 little grebe
      4 m gadwall (being hassled by bhgulls)
      2m 1f tufted duck
      3 coots
      1 Canada goose
      1m mallard
      The usual clan of black headed gulls, including two pairs nesting in the glass tank

      Frog pond:
      18 mute swans (2 of which juvenile)
      4 greylag geese
      19 Canada geese
      (Where are the pair of oystercatchers and family of wigeon?)
      Also in the field: 1 magpie; 1 crow; 1m blackbird; 1 M pheasant; 2 wood pigeons; pair of mallards.
      In opposite fields: 7 wood pigeons; pair of Canada geese; 2m blackbirds
      (The herring gulls in field behind pond were nowhere to be seen)

      In Freeman’s wood along path between frog pond and willow lane:
      2 chiffchaff
      1 f chaffinch
      6m blackbirds (females at home doing childcare)
      2 robins
      1 song thrush
      2 blue tits
      3 goldfinch (these goldfinch musketeers seem to have been in the area for a while)
      6 crows
      2 magpies
