      Saturday 9th March 2pm

      100+woodpigeon gathered feeding on hill behind frog pond(with trig point). I have quite often seen large numbers of wood pigeon here but this was probs the most dense flock I’ve seen.

      Freemans pond:
      Dozen+ black headed gulls
      10 small waders on and around the island, looked like redshank
      Pair of mallard
      In trees by pond gate: 1m goldcrest, 2 long tailed tits, 1 goldfinch, 1 great tit. On ground: 1m dunnock, 2 Robin, 2 M 1f blackbirds,

      Frog pond:
      7 curlew feeding in field
      C 20 Canada geese
      2 greylag geese
      Several oystercatchers
      C 20 wigeon
      C3 adult mute swans (2 more in field opposite)
      2 crows
