Absolutely bizarre weather today. A SE warm gale over saturated ground. The blackbird nest 10 feet from our back door to the garden in a mixed hedge and was raided by a pair of magpies. One on sentry duty 10 yards away and one in the hedge, sequentially removing all the well grown nestlings. Then 3 little egrets flew right over us northbound very low. Finally 2 swallows northbound together.
Earlier at lunchtime high tide a very fine rolling display of a raven over the Stork near Glasson, avocets and lr plover on show too.
