A minimum of 38 birds circling and screaming tonight at 9.10pm. Clear cool conditions, dry, sun setting, v light N wind. Also overhead northbound at speed and rather unexpected a little egret. Would have been near mega 20 years ago. Now almost no surprise now and presumably heading for a roost N of Lancaster…
