Out of the blue this evening I was out in the back garden doing not very much when a swift spiralled down to roof level on the junction of Windermere and Dalton Rd about 100 yards away. Flew out and up 30 seconds later.
Presumably there is a late active nest in the vicinity. No screaming evenings for days.
