A short visit on Friday evening (18:40-19:50) to look for warblers. Might have arrived a little too late, as Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps seemed to mostly stop singing at 7pm.

      Highlights:

      Chiffchaff: 4 singing +1
Blackcap – 1 singing in orchard
      Song Thrush – 2 singing
Mistle Thrush – 1 singing from Admiralty Wood
Also singing: 8 Wren, 4 Blackbird, 4 Robin, 3 Dunnock, 1 Chaffinch, some Greenfinch

Oystercatcher – 2 feeding in Flora Field
Magpies – 12, including 8 feeding in School Field

3 dead Woodpigeon – two were just explosions of feathers suggesting the culprit was a Sparrowhawk. One was fully intact, near the houses, suggesting it could have been a cat.

      Lowlights:
      Pheasant – 9m 2f
