8C at 10:30 this morning. Dry, sunny and calm – altogether a beautiful Spring morning with the woods full of birdsong. Reed buntings and chaffinches dominated (around a dozen of each), only a solitary male brambling on view. No linnets spotted today. Nor robins, of which 4 have been lined up on the fence in apparent harmony on recent previous visits. Single blackbird and dunnock, 2 great tits also feeding.
