Avocet 47 adults. Brood of 3 small young at pool edge near reeds, feeding and being brooded. Two newly hatched appeared on the nearest island to the Allen Hide. One was snatched by a Black-headed gull the other was brooded by ita parent and did not re-appear. Still 14 nests
Black-headed Gull a number of dead adults and young birds but plenty alive!
