      6 Cattle Egrets on the Tower Farm flooded fields east of the railway. I managed to see them well from the footpath that leaves the Arnside to Gaitbarrows road at SD 474783 and goes south towards Haweswater. Also 1 Great White and 5 little Egret.

        Hi Alan
        That grid reference is in Cumbria by c.300 metres but its not on the footpath you refer to, can you check your Grid Ref? If that is where the birds were six would be a record count for Cumbria, did you get a photograph? If the birds were in Cumbria please contact me.

          Hi Ronnie, I tried to attach a photo but failed. Jarrad at L Moss has photos. I’m away at the moment with limited ability to check map references etc but if you drop me an email [email protected] I’ll send a Google map of where they were
