Afternoon walk from Condor, of particular note:
on river edge opposite the Pool: 2 greenshank and 3 avocet
in Condor Pool: 5 avocet (2 looking like they were trying out nesting sites); 2 male shovellers; towards 200 black-tailed godwits, some of which flew off to the river mouth
20+ little egrets roosting in tall pine trees by Ashton Hall
1 very confiding willow warbler aalong the way back to Aldcliffe
Wildfowlers Pool had 2 shovellers and a few black-tailed godwits, the flood had a few too.
