Common tern fishing successfully at Lunecliffe on the Lancaster Canal. On catching a fish it immediately flew off south in the direction of Conder Green and returned 15 minutes later. One was seen regularly on this stretch last year.
There are a pair regularly fishing on the Lune estuary around Ashton. As soon as they catch they take the most direct route back to Conder Pool across the fields (and away from the gulls!).
