BTO are recruiting for Regional Reps within the LDBWS area: Lancashire (Northwest), Lancashire (East) & Yorkshire (Northwest).
The last two have bits in the LDBWS boundaries.
Did you know, the BTO involves over 40,000 volunteers in its survey work across 125 mapped regions within the UK? The data collected by these volunteers chart population trends and movements of hundreds of bird species.
BTO volunteers are amazing, and we need the vital support and local knowledge of a key volunteers in each region, our Regional Representatives, to help coordinate them.
The Regional Representative roles offer a unique opportunity for a keen, experienced birder to make their mark for ornithology in their home region, by championing birding, BTO surveying and growing / developing their local BTO volunteer network to help us obtain the highest quality data possible to best inform conservation priorities and actions, and inform BTO members and supporters in the region of what is happening to their birds locally and how best they can get involved.
This role may be supported by specific survey Regional Organisers, Regional Ambassadors and other members of the BTO Regional Network.
