Blackwits in Morecambe

I was walking along Morecambe prom this morning at about 1030 (so nearly low tide), and saw a flock of about 50 black-tailed godwits flying around between Broadway and the Stone Jetty. Don’t often go down there at this time of year, but not sure if they’re often around there?

Something wrong this morning. I have tried posting this from my phone twice and it has not appeared on the website. I’ll try from my computer.

I had 470 black-tailed godwits near Scalestones on Thursday morning (24th) about 10 am. I assumed migration.

(in 2020 on 26th I had c250.)
