      14th Feb: 6 stock doves at Fell End, pair of goldeneye mating on Causeway Pool.
      15th Feb: Coldwell, 5 hawfinches; Mosses, brief display from pair of marsh harriers, booming bittern, pair of stonechat opposite Causeway Hide, great crested grebe and 30 goldeneye on Causeway Pool.
      Murmurations NE end of Leighton Moss on both evenings.

        Probably the same hawfinches (3 or 4 heard) late morning.

        Water pipit at Leighton in a cut area near Causeway with 7+ pied wagtails. Bittern booming South of the causeway at the far end. Several Marsh tits now singing here and at Hale Moss Sd5077.

        20-25 whooper swan at Holmere on 14th early morning only

          And, Silverdale Shore in hour before 11.30 high tide, a guillemot on the sand. Defended itself from attentions of 3 carrion crows before being lifted off by tide and drifting round towards Silverdale Cove.
