Is it a perennial problem for WeBS when the waders use these inland sites? There were 50 oystercatchers in the field above Know End just after high tide this morning. Did not count the number remaining on the shore, along with redshank, curlew, and 9 dunlin. Also 28 eider.
Yesterday morning a couple of curlew flocks (10 – 12 in each) passing over Leighton Moss, where also saw 2 marsh harriers, m & f goldeneye, and 8 bearded tits gritting on the causeway track.
