Wildfowlers’ Pools – 2 Little Ringed Plover, 6 Ringed Plover, 2 White Wagtail

Snipe Bog (Aldcliffe Marsh south) – 1 Merlin (chased off north by Black-headed Gulls), 1 White Wagtail, 25+ Meadow Pipit, but no Rock Pipit or Water Pipit (northerly winds helpful for the latter to depart?)

Lune Estuary – 9 Goldeneye at high tide

Colloway Marsh – 1 Fox (wandering along the inner edge of the salt marsh)

Female Blackcap at the Wildfowlers’ Pools this morning. A male Blackcap singing at the bottom of Aldcliffe Hall Lane.

At least eighty Sand Martins at Wildfowlers at 09.30

Great views of 2 LRP close to cycle track at Wildfowlers’ Pools this afternoon. 13 goldeneye (4m and 9f) at Freeman’s Pool.
