1 Lesser Canada Goose (parvipes type bird) and 8 adult Russian White-fronted Geese showing reasonably well among large numbers of Pink-footed Geese and Greylag Geese in the fields east of the cycle-track south of Freeman’s Wood then moving to the fields closer to Aldcliffe Hall Lane.

1 2nd W Mediterranean Gull by the River Lune in Lancaster, between the Greyhound and Skerton bridges.

Presumably an additional 3 White-fronted geese were on the saltmarsh with greylags at 11.45am opposite the Golden Ball. Also 240 wigeon, 11 gadwall, 8 teal, 3 goosander and 2 goldeneye on the river.

8 White-fronted at Foulshaw, 27/12/22, I wonder if they look familiar?

Yes, presumably the same birds. Although they were among a large mixed flock of Pink-footed Geese and Greylag Geese while at Aldcliffe, on at least one occasion they flew off on their own – then later few back to rejoin the other geese.
