The pools were wader-free on my first visit this morning but on my return a single little ringed plover had dropped in. As I was looking at it a pair of ruff flew in, circled (tantalisingly) and then headed off over the marsh toward Snatchems.
Still a little water in the pools but without some rain (in the absence of high tides) they’ll be next to useless in a very short time.
Lots of whitethroat activity plus swifts & all 3 hirundines present.
