      Early morning visit in the rain. Some water now on Allen mere.
      Greenshank 3
      Black-tailed Godwit 110
      Little Egret 20
      Avocet At least 20 young on the two meres Flood not counted. Best sighting was a brood of 4 about a third grown trying to get cover from the rain under an adult!
      Spoonbill no sighting but 4 reported later.
