      Avocet 40 no young and now only 9 nests

      These two Gadwall counts show how they have become thhe commonest duck at this time of year at both Leighton and the Eric Morecambe Complex.
      Bitern 2 at the reed edge from Causeway Hide. Flew off together across the pool and landed in the reeds out of sight.
