Lapwing in our area are doing very poorly with many areas that used to have then empty. So it was great to find a good population along with good nummbers of Curlew inland from Kirkbby Stephen. Highlight was a newly hatched brood of 4 Lapwing. Other highlights were 3 leks of Black Grouse One with 6 birds was still active mid afternoon. One pair of Ring Ouzel.
