      First-winter female Ring-necked Duck at Borwick Waters this afternoon.

        Pete asked to state the anyone going there must be careful to stay on footpath across field and not to deviate and approach the perimeter fence of the property too closely. It is especially important not to disturb any carp anglers. Also v important not to block the access road whilst parking by the canal bridge and if that car park is full, use the pull in just beyond the entrance to Clear Water fisheries and use the footpath from the other direction.

          Couple of piccies from the Ring-necked Duck at lunchtime today. It was loosely associating with the Tufties. I stayed well away from the fence so as not to disturb the anglers. FWIW was pretty sure I heard a Green Sand ‘on the wind’ as I walked along the lane past the entrance to Clearwater Fisheries
