      490 Curlew
      4,500 Oystercatcher
      2,300 Dunlin
      280 Wigeon
      248 Shelduck
      82 Turnstone
      180 Grey Plover (possibly more intermingled with Knot)
      1,200 Bar-tailed-Godwit
      800 Black-tailed Godwit (No crossover from the east side of both species see what WeBS count reveals, a large flock of Bar-tailed-Godwit on the east side, hopefully will reveal for WeBS count.
      6,200 Knot, A very difficult count with Godwits intermingling, only when all in flight could I distinguish.
      9 Little egret
      270 Redshank
      Other
      80 Fieldfare with 7 Redwing, Mr J Deere not yet been and flailed all the winter berries out of existence.
      The wader bird count will also be forwarded to Wader Quest who are doing an international count called Wader Conservation World Watch

        Nice count Alan. Great to be able to use the hide Today in the wind. I’ll forward Todays count to wader quest also…

        SEO was seen at Middleton Sands yesterday but didn’t connect with it Today.
