This morning’s U3A group sightings included:
2 mute swans flying low along the coast
2 wheatears – 1 at Scalestones, 1 at Teal Bay
3 swallows at Teal Bay
1 wigeon Teal Bay
1 great crested grebe with eider
5 snipe set up by tide from grass by ex-VVV
2+ common gulls
2 grey heron, 3 little egret
This week noticeable increase in numbers of robins in Happy Mount Park
Also 2 goldcrests, 1 song thrush, very few blackbirds (0 Monday 3 today)
Unusually large flock of mallard now in HMP – 60+ most days.
