Clearly a big movement of PFG today.

Approximately 315 in three skeins between Stodday and Conder Green between 9.30 and 9.45 before the weather deteriorated and visibility significantly reduced along that stretch of the Lune.

During a ten minute period around 1 o’clock while I was in the garden, approximately 300 over the New Quay Road area of Lancaster. More heard from the house later.

Between 13.45 and 15.15 we walked from Shore Road, Silverdale to JBP and back. Counting the various skeins flying over reached a total of c 650.

Between 13.33 and 14.07 I photographed nine skeins all passing south over Middlebarrow Quarry/ Silverdale Moss area. Counting them up just now it was 437 birds, I don’t know if they might be the same birds as John’s ?

Hi Alan. There could have been some overlap, but we’d only reached 305 by 14.07, with the last skein at 14.50. Some were inland of Lindeth Rd / JB Lane, others over the estuary. You must have got a number that we didn’t.
