Stonechat Pair still at Fell End Reserve yesterday
Coal Tits Marked decline at the three feeding stations I have visited. At Leightonwas the most abundant tit 2 weeks ago. Not a one yeesterday. None yesterday at Fell End and Warton. Wonder if others have noticed this.

Yes! We haven’t seen any coal tits on our garden feeders in Holme in the last few days. We usually get equal numbers of blue, great and coal tits but in recent days we’ve just had blue and great tits.

Exactly the same with me John. Our garden feeders in Silverdale were overrun with Coal Tits a few weeks ago and now hardly any. Perhaps they are locating the hundreds of seeds they were caching in the ground. Why is it they seem to be the species most inclined to do this?
In fairness it’s not just the Coal Tits that have deserted us – we are getting very few birds on the feeders.
