      Belated WEBS from earlier in the week…
      Tide really high with the surge & difficult counting conditions – most birds flighty or pushed elsewhere…
      Knot – 6500
      Dunlin 3250
      Grey Plover – 182
      14 Golden Plover
      Black Tailed Godwit – 112
      Bar Tailed Godwit – 860
      Oystercatcher – 1900
      Curlew – 790
      Lapwing – 51
      Snipe – 5
      Ringed Plover – 21
      Redshank – 133
      Wigeon -87
      Shelduck – 279
      Teal – 22
      Little Egret – 8
      Grey Heron – 1

      Also – 2 Rock Pipit, Grey Wagtail, 7 Skylarks, 15 Meadow Pipits

      Lyth Valley – 3 Whooper Swans (most of the week)
      Male Hen Harrier – couple of occasions on Foulshaw this week in flying visits plus 20 Tree Sparrows, 7 Goldcrest, 5 redpoll
      Barn Owl – Lyth Valley
      Female Merlin – one on coastal footpath by Middle Foulshaw midweek.
