For the last three years the society has been carrying out work to produce an Atlas of the breeding birds of the district. This event aims to take a survey group to less visited areas to attempt to fill some gaps in our Breeding Birds Atlas in the east of our recording area. All are welcome regardless of survey experience or expertise. We will divide up to explore different areas before meeting up at 12.30pm at the Highwayman Inn in Nether Burrow for drinks (and food if you want). A variety of sites and habitats will be visited and maps, recording forms and suggested routes will be provided.  Where each participant goes will be tailored to where and how far they’d like to walk.
