A few highlights from this morning’s bike ride:
Singing Common Chiffchaffs: 1 in Freeman’s Wood, 1 along the trail 300 metres north of Stodday water treatment plant.
6 Avocets (two copulating) in the River Lune near Ashton.
Large tightly-packed flock of roosting waders seen from Conder Green car park. Most numerous species was Bar-tailed Godwit (including a few going into breeding plumage) and also plenty of Knot.
And a few Dunnocks singing their little hearts out……Barrie CooperParticipantMarch 11, 2022 at 3:19 pmPost count: 94
