Short-eared Owl – hunting around the margins of Conder Pool early afternoon. This bird has now been present for a week and gives very good views from the viewing screen by Conder Creek. When its not in view it seems to roost in the rough grass adjacent the pool rather than fly off elsewhere. Well worth a visit.
Mediterranean Gull – 2nd winter with the Black-headed Gulls on Conder Creek at high tide.
Also: 3 Avocet on Conder Pool and 20 Black-tailed Godwit on Conder Creek.
