LDBWS site guideWelcome to the LDBWS site guide. This information was collated by Peter Morgan-Capner and Ian Taylor. Any comments or suggestions are welcome on the content, and the way it is presented, especially in these early stages. To make a comment about a specific site, click the link at the top of the details page for that site. For any other comments, use our general comment form You can access a variety of information (including individual Landranger maps) by clicking the name of a site in the list below. Click on one of the linked letters to view sites starting with that name. To view all sites on one map (and access other features like photographs), visit the LDWBS siteguide Google map at: http://tinyurl.com/lancastersiteguide. For major birding sites over a wider area, visit: http://tinyurl.com/siteguideoutsidearea. Each site has one or more access codes, which indicate how easy the site is to access for those with more limited mobility. You can still view the LDBWS recording area map, which gives more of an idea of the extent of our society's catchment area. Disclaimer Not all sites are within LDBWS recording catchment area. 'Car park' indicates formal (usually off-road) parking. The inclusion of a site does not imply right of access and no responsibility is taken for validity of information. Thanks go to Pete Crooks for today's header photo of Aldcliffe. If you have a suitable picture of a local birding spot, why not send it to the webmaster, at andymccafferty@gmail.com? I need to resize (and if necessary crop) pictures to make them 600x130 pixels, so ideally send it at that size (definitely not smaller).
