Arnside Knott

A 3.5 hour (10.30 - 2.00 pm) wander around Arnside Knott produced 19 species of butterfly, including 1 High Brown Fritillary, 1 Dark Green Fritillary, (plus 4 unidentified Fritillaries that refused to land), 1 Scotch Argus and 3 Northern Brown Argus.

Also: Small Skipper, Large Skipper, 1 male Brimstone, Large White, Small White, Green-veined White, Holly Blue, Red Admiral, Painted Lady, Peacock, Speckled Wood, Grayling, Gatekeeper (commonest species), Meadow Brown and Ringlet.
