Golden-ringed Dragonfly

Golden-ringed Dragonfly

Following what was thought to be an out of area record last year another individual was recorded at the Crook O' Lune on 26/6.

It was thought to have been another aberation but a patrolling male was seen yesterday (28/6) on the small runnel between the two sections of Life for Life Memorial Wood at SD522644.

It appears the species may have colonised the area. Not quite ideal habitat for the species but the small overgrown runnel looks suitable.
