Warton road closure around Millhead diversion

Warton road closure around Millhead diversion
August 25, 2016 11:14AM
Hi all.
There will be a minor diversion due to works in the Millhead area.
From 30 August to 18 November visitors travelling to Leighton Moss from the A6 will need to follow a minor diversion. Please follow the one way system, approaching the reserve via Rose Acre lane and leaving via Nineteen Acre lane.

This is due to work being undertaken by United Utilities at Millhead, resulting in a road closure between Carnforth and Warton.

Thank you,
Kevin Kelly

Not a nice junction with A6 on return journey. Assume 60 mph vehicles in both directions

Absolute pain the the xxxx to get to Leighton Moss from my house at the moment or anyone else from my direction. Gressingham Bridge will as I understand by shut until just before Christmas

Also 'itsquickerthroughhalton.com' might be an appropriate website for the new heysham bypass ie heysham via crook of lune instead of a two traffic light hold up at J34 (minor priority on second one) plus the Morecambe road bit

Thanks go to Pete Crooks for today's header photo of Aldcliffe. If you have a suitable picture of a local birding spot, why not send it to the webmaster, at andymccafferty@gmail.com? I need to resize (and if necessary crop) pictures to make them 600x130 pixels, so ideally send it at that size (definitely not smaller).
