Lune Gardens

As part of the annual Heritage Open Day scheme, Lune Bank Gardens are to be open.

There will be bird viewing facilities at the Rowing Club building overlooking the weir. If anyone is free to drop in and help with id-ing birds for visitors, perhaps you could either just turn up or contact Jean O'Neill on 07766 816260 - just mention this notice.

The place will be open on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th Sept. from 12 noon until 4 p.m. Hot drinks and cake are being offered as an inducement!

This is another of these local nature scheme which deserves support.

Thanks go to Pete Crooks for today's header photo of Aldcliffe. If you have a suitable picture of a local birding spot, why not send it to the webmaster, at andymccafferty@gmail.com? I need to resize (and if necessary crop) pictures to make them 600x130 pixels, so ideally send it at that size (definitely not smaller).
